Your First Visit
What to Expect
Thank you for making your first appointment to see one of our cardiologists. Please expect to complete patient forms and to discuss your current health with one of our cardiologists. Be prepared to ask any questions you may have, and we will provide you with instructions regarding the next steps you should take. If you cannot keep your appointment, please notify us as early as possible.
Your medical assistant will obtain your blood pressure, heart rate and an EKG during your first visit. You will need to wear loose clothing that you can easily lift for the clinician to listen to your heart with their stethoscope. The clinician may ask you to move slightly, breathe in or out, or hold your breath during the exam. They may also ask you to remove your shoes. No same day testing will be completed due to insurance authorization.
If you cannot get into the see the cardiologist in a timely fashion, our APP team is happy to assist in expediting the process. Please call to schedule.
What to Bring
Please bring a current list of your medications, a picture ID, and your insurance cards, as well as any referral forms and orders for tests that you may have been given from an outside physician.
